Cabinet appointment great for city

Last week's announcement that our Liberal MLA, Brian Kenny, was appointed minister of state for seniors and minister responsible for community non-profit organizations is certainly great news for the citizens of Bathurst.
It has been many years since the citizens of Bathurst had a minister to represent their needs at the Cabinet table.
Having Minister Kenny sit at the Cabinet table will certainly give the City of Bathurst an edge at this time of revitalization of our downtown core.
The members of the NB Senior Citizens' Council and the members of the Steelworkers Organization of Active Retirees wish Minister Kenny well as he assumes his new functions. The membership of both organizations is particularly pleased to have someone who knows all to well the challenges seniors face on a daily basis.
We are pleased to have you represent our interests and look forward to working with you.
Ed Levert
President
NB Senior Citizens' Council (NBSCC)
Steelworkers Organization of Active Retirees (SOAR
