To The Editor:
A recent accomplishment for a local activist could not have been so successful without the great work of our local media teams.
To you, Northern Light editor Greg Mulock and staff, in particular reporter James Mallory, I now say thank you for your great concerns and wonderful journalism.
What a wonderful job you do as a reporter, James! Compassion, understanding and devotion in all of your work, with and for us citizens, cannot go by unapplauded.
I could have never kept on the battle against cohabitation at our local hospital for five years without your fine support.
I sincerely, wish to mention all the other media people found in our area: L'Hebdo Chaleur, Radio Canada, l'Acadie Nouvelle, and CKLE. Also, our elected members, especially Bathurst MLA Brian Kenny who took my petition to Fredericton in 2004 and Yvon Godin, MP Acadie-Bathurst and his assistant, Françoise, for their heartfelt listening and quick action.
I also wish to sincerely thank Bernard Richard, the province's Ombudsman, who is obviously very dedicated to his work of seeking justice for all New Brunswickers.
These sincere words, straight from my heart, also come in the name of all who suffered the cohabitation policy in silence.
In closing, we appreciate your mission as media of spreading the news, especially the news about those trying to make this world a better place to live.
